Terms of Use

Terms for using the LockLead locksmith directory and partner services.

Updated 7 October 2026 · Draft for legal review

1. Who operates LockLead

LockLead is a trading name of David Mitrana, a sole trader based in Scotland. Business address: 52 Pinebank, Livingston, EH54 6EX. Contact: lockleadhelp@outlook.com or 07492 920699.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply when you use the LockLead website, including the public locksmith directory and the locksmith application and partner portal. By using the site, you agree to follow these terms. The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. Separate written terms may apply if LockLead and a locksmith later agree a paid or additional service.

3. How the directory works

The directory lets you browse locksmith businesses and filter them by postcode and service. You can contact a listed business using the contact details shown on its profile. A search is only a way to filter the directory: it does not create a customer account or job request with LockLead, and LockLead does not receive, assign, forward, cancel or track customer enquiries.

4. Locksmiths are independent businesses

Each listed locksmith operates independently. LockLead is not the locksmith’s employer, partner, agent or representative and is not a party to any agreement between a customer and a locksmith. The locksmith is responsible for its own work, staff, qualifications, insurance, availability, prices, statements and customer arrangements. Any booking, quote, payment, warranty or complaint about locksmith work is between the customer and that locksmith.

5. Listings and checks

Businesses provide the information used in their profiles. LockLead may review applications and moderate listings, but approval or publication does not by itself mean that LockLead has independently verified a locksmith’s identity, qualifications, insurance, pricing, availability or claims, or recommends that business. Check important details directly with the locksmith before deciding to use it. Tell LockLead if a listing appears inaccurate or concerning.

6. No booking, availability or emergency guarantee

A listing is not a quote, recommendation, reservation, booking or promise that a locksmith will respond, accept a job, arrive by a certain time or complete work. Contact the locksmith directly to confirm availability, response time, call-out charges, the full price and the work to be done before authorising work. LockLead is not an emergency dispatch service. In an immediate danger or emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service.

7. Using the site

Use the site lawfully and do not submit information you know is false, interfere with the site, attempt to access another person’s account, or use contact details for spam or unlawful purposes. Locksmith applicants must be authorised to represent the business and must keep the application and profile information accurate and up to date. Applying does not guarantee approval, publication or customer contact.

8. Locksmith applications and public profiles

Locksmiths apply by providing business and contact details, service and coverage information, and any optional description or private review note. Applications are private while being reviewed. The applicant confirms they are authorised to represent the business and that the information is accurate. Applying does not guarantee approval or a listing. LockLead reviews applications and may ask questions, approve or decline them. Approval alone does not make a profile public. A profile appears only after approval and the locksmith’s separate, optional agreement to publication. Earlier applications do not count as permission to publish. If the locksmith opts in, the public profile may show the business name, business phone and email, website, town/city, base postcode, coverage areas/postcodes, services, emergency availability and business description. The contact person's name and private review note are not shown in the public directory. The applicant should not put private or sensitive information in fields intended for public display. The locksmith can withdraw publication consent through the partner portal where available or by emailing LockLead; we will remove the profile as soon as reasonably practicable. Withdrawal does not itself delete the partner account or application record; the Privacy Policy explains retention. LockLead may correct, pause or remove a profile if details are inaccurate, permission ends, or publication is otherwise inappropriate. A listing does not guarantee customer contact, bookings, leads, income or work.

9. Fees and payments

Customers do not pay LockLead to search the directory or contact a locksmith. Locksmiths are not currently charged to apply or be listed. Customers agree and pay for any locksmith work directly with the locksmith. Any future fee for an additional partner service would need to be agreed separately in writing before it applies.

10. Third-party websites and services

A locksmith profile may link to a website or service operated by someone else. LockLead does not control those external sites or their content, terms or privacy practices. Visiting or using them is your choice; check the relevant provider’s information before proceeding.

11. Website content, changes and legal rights

We aim to keep the site available and the directory useful, but businesses can change their information and online services can be interrupted. We may update, pause or remove site features and listings. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a legal right or responsibility where the law does not allow it to be excluded or limited. These terms do not affect a customer’s legal rights against a locksmith for work supplied by that locksmith.

12. Contact, complaints and changes

For a correction, listing concern, complaint about the website, or question about these terms, contact lockleadhelp@outlook.com or 07492 920699. We may update these terms when the service or its operation changes. The current version date appears below; material changes should be brought to affected users’ attention where appropriate.

This practical draft describes the current directory model. It is not a legal opinion. Confirm the business details and have a UK solicitor review the final terms, especially platform responsibility, liability and the terms governing locksmith partners.
