1. Who is responsible
David Mitrana, trading as LockLead, is a sole trader in Scotland and is responsible for personal data processed for this service. Business address: 52 Pinebank, Livingston, EH54 6EX. Privacy contact: lockleadhelp@outlook.com or 07492 920699.
2. Information customers enter in directory search
When you search, the postcode and optional service are used to filter the public locksmith directory. LockLead does not save this search as a customer enquiry, create a customer account, send the search to locksmiths, or use it to arrange a booking. The website host, database provider or security services may process ordinary technical request data such as IP address, device/browser details and request time in operational or security logs.
3. Locksmith application and partner information
We collect information submitted by a locksmith applicant, including business and contact names, phone number, email, website, town/city, base postcode, coverage areas and postcodes, services, availability and business description, application/terms confirmations and any optional message. If approved, partner login and account security information is also processed. Internal review notes and application status are accessible only to authorised administrators.
4. Public directory information
A business’s public contact and listing details are published only after it is approved and the applicant separately agrees to publication. A public listing may include the business name, contact phone and email, website, city, postcode, service list, coverage, availability and description. Applications without both approval and recorded publication consent are not shown, including older applications until the locksmith separately opts in. A partner can withdraw publication consent, or contact us to correct or remove a listing.
5. Why we use partner data
We use applicant information to receive and review applications, contact the applicant about that application, manage approved listings and partner accounts, keep the directory accurate, protect the website and comply with legal obligations. We use the separate publication consent to show the selected business details in the public directory. We do not use customer searches to contact or profile customers.
6. Lawful bases
Depending on the purpose, we rely on steps requested before entering a partner arrangement and administering that arrangement, the locksmith’s separate consent for public listing, legitimate interests in operating and securing the application and directory service, and legal obligations where applicable. Our legitimate interests include preventing misuse, keeping accounts and the website secure, maintaining accurate partner records and resolving requests or complaints. We use information only where needed for those purposes and consider the effect on people’s rights.
7. Providers and disclosures
The website is hosted by Netlify. Supabase provides the database and partner sign-in. Resend is used to send transactional emails about applications and partner accounts. These providers process information needed for their services under their applicable terms. Some provider systems may process or store information outside the UK; the exact regions and any applicable transfer safeguards must be checked against the live provider account settings and agreements. We do not sell customer search data or pass customer searches to locksmiths. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect rights and security.
8. Retention and security
We plan to keep unsuccessful or declined locksmith applications for up to 12 months after the decision. For an approved locksmith, we keep account and application information while the partner relationship is active and for up to 24 months after it ends, then delete or anonymise it. We may keep a limited record for longer where reasonably necessary to deal with a specific dispute, establish or defend legal claims, or meet a legal obligation. Public profiles are removed when approval or publication consent ends; copies held in backups or provider systems may take longer to expire under their retention cycles. Technical and security logs are kept for the periods set by the relevant service providers. LockLead uses access controls and other reasonable safeguards, but no online service can promise absolute security.
9. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, email lockleadhelp@outlook.com or write to David Mitrana, trading as LockLead, 52 Pinebank, Livingston, EH54 6EX. You can also call 07492 920699.
10. Cookies and updates
The current site does not intentionally use non-essential analytics or advertising cookies. Essential technical storage may be used for security or partner sign-in. If this changes, the notice and any required consent controls will be updated. This policy will be updated when our data practices change; the current version date is shown below.
This practical draft reflects the directory-only model. Confirm the contact details, deletion process and provider locations/transfer safeguards against actual operations before launch, and have a UK privacy adviser review the final notice.
